Grrr Teenagers!!!!

Does anyone else have teenagers that are just beautiful, kind, funny, clever etc etc etc but drive you to distraction occasionally??????? Yesterday when I went off to work I asked for just 4 things to be done to help me , tidy up the kitchen, do homework, walk the dogs, and bring the washing in, hardly rocket science or unreasonable I would think! Yep you guessed it , the total number of these done when I walked in the door late and tired - a big fat 0!! Oh well today is a new day and I do love them anyway!!

I think this is why they come out smelling good and looking so darn cute. Then when they are teens and not so good smelling or cute we are so helplessly in love with them that we forgive them anything. heeheehee

I am a fan of I heard the owl call my name. I read that book in book club about five years ago. I had children just like yours and now they are 40 something and have children just like yours

There were many days I had to remind myself they could have been twins. I was told I was having twins both times - how GLAD I am that the Doctor was wrong. Now my daughter has 3 teenagers and the oldest one is 3 times more stubborn than she was. Ah payback.

My son is exactly the same. In the holidays I had to go out every morning and I asked him to vacuum for me. He never managed it once. It drove me to distraction.

yes I know what you mean, my son is now 20 and still doesn't know where the vacuum cleaner is and I try to ignore the evergrowing pile of washing when you try to push the bedroom door open!

I'm still waiting for my son to load the dishwasher, put out the recycling and hoover - he's been at uni for nearly 4 weeks, I think I will be still waiting when I'm very old and grey!!

I'm so glad I'm not the only one that a teenager manages to drive insane...

Yep, I know exactly what you are talking about! Sounds just like my teenagers. Although, I must admit, my 17 year old daughter will usually get done what I tell her, but my 14 year old son is a totally different story! Drives me insane!
Blessings,
Diane

Oh it's good to hear that they are all the same. My are delightful but have just these moments. I guess it's so we're able to let them leave the nest.

No, I have this joy to look forward to. I enjoy the present when Sophie is so keen to help and be included that she actually gets a bit upset if we do not find her some way to help or be involved.

I told my oldest daughter today (she is 21) that I am SO glad it looks like my grandbaby (1 yr.) is going to have her same attitude and I can't wait till she is a teenager! LOL I never had gray hair till my children reached pre-teen/teen years!
Good luck with yours! I am still banging my head against the wall for the past week! :D
