Hi!

Hi! I have written 1000 posts in my head in the last few weeks but none seem to have actually made it to the posting stage. Not sure why this year seems busier and more out of control than others but I am just holding on by a thread. Anyway I have spent a lot of the weekend 'blog reading' (but not much commenting - sorry) and I have decided to dive back in there, short and sweet being the key!
For Mothers Day I gave Mum tickets for the 2 of us to go to the King Tutankhamun exhibition currently on at the Museum in Melbourne. It is not often she 'hints' to go to something and when it happened for the third time I thought I better get organised!!! She visited this exhibition in Cairo in the late 50's and was intrigued by it then. We went last Wednesday. I left home early and drove to her place then we caught the train from there, it was a 16hour day for me but she loved it. It was everything she wanted. In hindsight we should of gone when we could stay in Melbourne overnight and pick another time other than the middle of the day with all the school groups. We each picked up a souvenir to remember our day - a King Tut rubber duck!!! I have a small collection now, each with wonderful memories attached!!

Off to a funeral this afternoon, one of my close work colleagues lost her Mum last Tuesday after a very short illness and had a new granddaughter born within 2 hours, the circle of life is an amazing thing....

I know exactly what you mean --- surfing the blogs and the year has just whizzed by. King Tut is an interesting subject daughter #3 is in Egypt at the moment, long service leave.

I hope you are getting your projects ready for the weekend! Tracey

What fun you had in Melbourne. That is something you'll never forget. That rubber ducky will be a constant reminder. Hope you recovered your sleep since then.
Take care and Thanks for the caramel koalas. I really enjoyed those! Thank you so much for the zipper broach too.
