And the winner of my 2year Blogiversary giveaway is 'Anne Ida'. Congratulations! I will pop a surprise parcel in the mail later this week.
Sorry I've been missing in action again, my mind is on other things at the moment, someone very close to me is hurting and I'm not able to do anything to ease the pain. Life and families can be very complicated at times.
I plan to return over Easter, I have a very special Naming Day celebration to share, a Horse Event I am glad is over and an accident prone 'Horsey girl' to report on!!! I also have the rest of our trip from last year to share - I'm determined to finish reporting on it before we head off to the Kimberleys in May!! There may even be some quilting!!!

Thanks!
Well today is my 2nd Blogiversary!!! I'm not quite sure where the last 2 years have gone but I have received so many blessings from 'blogland'. I have met some wonderful and generous and caring people. I have laughed with some of you, cried for some of you and worried about some of you. I have been there as our furry friends enter and leave our lives and as family members lives are celebrated. I may not always leave a comment and I am often running behind , I do not post enough and I am sure my posts are somewhat boring but I do appreciate each and every one of you. I have a list a mile long of quilty projects to attempt , recipes to make and places to visit. This year I am time poor but all of these things allow me to dream. Thank you! I will have a little giveaway to celebrate, just leave a comment and say Hi! I will draw it next Monday.

A few of my favorite things....
I am off to the boarding house to work for the weekend and have just a few of my favorite things packed for those 'few quiet moments' I may find!!! Chocolate, magazines and my stitching! A bonus is that the sun is shining! The world is good!
(except for blogger who has posted my photo sideways, oops! Haven't got time to play with it , want to watch a quarter of a netball game before I report in!!)

'Pick me up' parcels!
Sometimes things happen at just the right moment and over the last month I've received 3 parcels at just the right times when I've needed a 'pick me up'!! They are all so very very special and I feel blessed with the friends I have made in 'blogland'!
I won a giveaway from Joyce at J's Quilting Blog (oops the links aren't working tonight or maybe its my brain!!!). She sent me this beautiful table runner and hoped it would arrive before Valentines Day which it did and graced my table beautifully. I just love it and can guarantee it will get a lot of use. Thank you so much Joyce. If you haven't visited Joyce you really should, she does the most amazing artistic quilting and is also an amazing cook and baker, her bread always looks so good!
I also won a giveaway from Margaret at Cosmos and Chrysanthemums. She sent me a lovely basket bag she made herself, I have so many uses for it I will need to choose!! She also sent some vintage sewing patterns which brought back many memories. I had to laugh that one of the patterns is the exact one my Mum made my first tennis skirt from - a terrible white fabric with a red biased binding trim!!! Margaret always has interesting snippets to show and tell about trips she takes and she does an amazing job sewing to raise money for charity. Thank you Margaret - I love my parcel.
I was also lucky enough to win a giveaway from Joy at Joypatch. Her parcel blew me away! I was expecting her new pattern for a pleated bag (thought if I showed Mum and hinted enough she may test the pattern for me first!!!) but the parcel held so much more. I had to take a photo of it still wrapped, a bit hard to tell but the pink ribbon had Joy's website printed on it! Inside I found the pattern, chocolate - VIP!, a baby cutting board, some sticky notes and a multicolor pen, some fabric labels and the cutest cupcake card. Thank you so much for making me smile Joy!
