I have had to make multiple 'slices' to take to horse, school or other events in the last few weeks, none of which we have had the enjoyment of eating at home!!! I have made my 'old favorites', a hedgehog and a mars bar slice, both of which I can almost make with my eyes closed and in an easy half an hour or less. Luckily they always seem to be enjoyed and appreciated. Does anyone else have their 'old favorites'???

It's always good to have a quick slice recipe to hand. Can't go wrong with chocolate slice!!

Mum always used to make chocolate slice with icing and coconut on top. Yum! My favourite slice is caramel & macadamia slice with chocolate melted on the top. YUMMO! Only problem... it's too good to put down!!
My favorite slice as a kid was a cherry ripe slice, but I never did get a receipt. My favorite to make is an apricot slice.
Raspberry shortbread slice - well in whatever flavour jam we had at the time is still a favourite in my family. Do enjoy the Mars bar slice in small portions.

Seriously, there are 9 million apple cake recipes - I choose a new one just about every time I make it.
