No photos today! Sorry! but I do have an ongoing debate in our household that I'd like some outside input on, nothing of national importance but still............. This morning we had hot scones for morning tea with jam and cream, SH prepared it and it was amazing except for one thing - he sweetened the cream with vanilla and sugar, not how I like it at all, I prefer it whipped with no additives.
So tell me - sweetened or not when it comes to cream?????
Otherwise an at home day, another batch of shortbread, some red velvet cupcakes, and a lot of other things ticked off the 'to do' list! Hope everyone else had a great day!

Home made scones sound delicious! I wouldn't mind if the cream was sweetened or not if I was treated to scones:) Generally though I do not sweeten cream.
I am sorry, but I always, always, always, always sweeten my cream with icing sugar and a splash of vanilla extract (but not too sweet). I believe you call it Chantilly Cream. Oh, yum!

I just like it as it is,I think the jam makes enough sweetness but Son in law puts lashings of icing sugar and vanilla in his, guess it is all a matter of taste.
Sorry, I'm not on your side. I like the cream sweetened, but not too much. For 1/4 liter of whiping cream I use about 2 teaspoons sugar and some vanillasugar.
Sweetened cream for me but only sweetened with about a tsp of sugar to 300 ml of cream and just a dash (and I mean that literally) of vanilla essence. Home made scones - yummm and red velvet cupcakes. I should move closer...vbg.
I love slightly sweetened cream!
sweetened, but I have an American palette - we eat dessert for breakfast... :o) (except me, I like spicy eggs with dry toast - or plain oatmeal.)
I never sweeten my cream. I think they used to do it when I was young but cream is delicious enough without any additions. I suppose it is what you are used to!
sweetened!!
