A little under the weather.......

Not much to report here. I have the 'cold', yes a good old common cold which has made me feel miserable! Am not going into work today, think one more day at home and I may just about hit it on the head!! Saturday I ventured out to my quilting group, drugged up and armed with a family size box of tissues, tried to sit myself away from everyone else and although I enjoyed the company for all I achieved think I should of stayed in bed and stitched! Yesterday I had to take the 'Horsey One' to a competition out of town. Left at 6am!! and were gone all day. We were very lucky with the weather, the forecasted rain and hail stayed away and with coats on we enjoyed the sunshine. I didn't feel up to it but I like one of us to be there in case something should happen - horseriding is dangerous and unpredictable ( I tell her this often in case it encourages her to rethink her love of the beasts!) and SH was working so it was me. The only other thing I achieved for the weekend was the making of the invitations to my Mum's 70th birthday lunch we are hosting in June. I am really pleased with how they turned out. The invites will go in the mail today, another tick on the list of things to be done!! Hoping to do a little sewing today, sure it qualifies as 'good medicine' so may even have something to show tomorrow!

Plain old colds are plain nasty! I hope you are feeling better soon!

I decided to go ahead and get Rachel the Sea Monkeys and she was thrilled. Right now the little sea monkey habitate is having it's water purified to house the little shrimp. I praised her for creating a safe path to her dresser drawers. Small goals.

My youngest dd loves horses, so maybe in a year or so we can start lessons for her.

Congrats on getting the invitations for your mum!
